Men's Tennis Edged By No. 24 Southern Indiana, Finishes In Fourth Place At GLVC Tournament

(ST. LOUIS, Mo., April 20)- The McKendree University men's tennis team came up short on Sunday in a 5-4 loss to No. 24 University of Southern Indiana in the third place match at the Great Lakes Valley Conference tournament.

The Bearcats are now 19-6 overall and will find out their postseason fate on Tuesday, April 29 at 7 p.m., during the NCAA Selection Show.

McKendree started the day well with a 2-1 lead with wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles, but the match was tied 4-4 with only No. 2 singles to finish. The Bearcats dropped a close match, 6-2, 7-5, to fall and drop the match 5-4.
