Men's Tennis Falls 5-2 To No. 31 Indianapolis In GLVC Tournament Semi's, Will Play For Third Place On Sunday

(ST. LOUIS, Mo., April 19)- The McKendree University men's tennis team came up short against No. 31 University of Indianapolis on Saturday, 5-2, in the semifinals of the Great Lakes Valley Conference tournament.

The Bearcats fall to 19-5 overall and will play No. 23 University of Southern Indiana on Sunday, April 20 at 9 a.m., in the third place match at Dwight Davis Tennis Center in St. Louis.

McKendree trailed, 2-1, after doubles play and came within 4-2 following a win by freshman Blake Kebblewhite (Elanora, Queensland, Australia/Palm Beach Currumbin ) over Marco Torres, 6-3, 6-1, at No. 3 singles, but a loss at No. 2 singles by McKendree decided the overall match with two singles matches going unfinished.
