(LEBANON, Ill., June 26)-Women's tennis coach
Adam Reeb has announced his initial class of signee's for his first recruiting class at McKendree University.
Samantha Siegel of St. Edward's University (Texas),
Anna Mernick and
Hannah Harry of Belleville West High School (Ill.),
Allison Harres of Belleville East High School,
Jessica Gaither of Flora High School (Ill.), and
Sara Janulavich of Edwardsville High School (Ill.) will all join the Bearcats for Reeb's first season at the helm in 2013-14.
"I'm very excited about this incoming class," said Reeb. "It's always a great honor to have so many of the best local women's tennis players decide to continue their academics and tennis at McKendree, and we couldn't be happier to welcome Anna, Hannah, Allison, and Sara to our Bearcat tennis program. In addition, we've added a multiple-time Illinois State Tournament qualifier in Jessica and a transfer student from a top 30 Division II program in Samantha. This group will really increase our depth, and they will all be first-class representatives of McKendree both on and off the court."
The McKendree women's tennis team finished the 2012-13 season with an overall record of 9-7 and a 2-4 mark in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

Samantha Siegel
St. Edwards's University/Clear Creek High School, Kemah, Texas
Played two seasons at NCAA Division II St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas...posted a 6-2 singles record and a 5-2 doubles record in two seasons with the Hilltoppers...claimed a district singles championship as a sophomore and a district doubles championship as a junior at Clear Creek High School...was a three-time regional qualifier and a state qualifier as a junior and senior for the Wildcats.
Anna Mernick
Belleville West High School, Swansea, Ill.
Two-time state qualifier at Belleville West High School...claimed conference championships at both No. 2 and No. 3 singles, while also winning a sectional championship at No. 1 doubles for the Maroons...was a three-time All-Conference honoree...helped lead Belleville West to two conference championships and three sectional championships.
Hannah Harry
Belleville West High School, Belleville, Ill.
Finished as runner-up at No. 5 singles at the Bloomington High School Gold Invitational as a senior, helping Belleville West High School earn the Invitational team championship...was an All-Conference honoree as a senior for the Maroons...helped lead Belleville West to two conference championships.
Allison Harres
Belleville East High School, Belleville, Ill.
Posted an overall record of 122-55 in her career at Belleville East High School...ranks fifth all-time for the Lancers in career tennis wins...was a three-time All-Conference honoree.
Jessica Gaither
Flora High School, Flora, Ill.
Posted an overall record of 105-40 in her career at Flora High School...was a three-time state qualifier for the Wolves...was an All-Conference selection as a senior.
Sara Janulavich
Edwardsville High School, Edwardsville, Ill.
Was a second-team All-State selection with a 12th place doubles finish at the state tournament as a senior at Edwardsville High School...was a three-time All-Conference honoree for the Tigers...only lost one doubles and one singles match in conference play during senior season..helped lead the Tigers to conference, regional, and sectional championships as a senior, helping the team to a ninth place finish in the state.
