Box Score (QUINCY, Ill., Nov. 3)- The McKendree University women's soccer team had its season come to an end in the first round of the Great Lakes Valley Conference tournament on Sunday following a 1-0 loss to No. 9 Quincy University.
The eighth-seeded Bearcats end their season with an overall record of 7-6-6.
McKendree controlled the offense in the first half with a 4-2 shot advantage, placing three on frame that were all stopped by Quincy goalkeeper Jodi Chapie.
The Hawks scored the only goal they needed in the 50th minute. A shot by Haylye Markway was saved by senior goalkeeper
Maggie Dudas (St. Peters, Mo./Ft. Zumwalt South), but the save deflected off the post and Quincy's Jaclyn Mastroianni was there for the score.
Freshman forward
Alyssa Reiniger (Maryville, Ill./Collinsville) had an opportunity to tie the game in the 65th minute, but her shot was saved by Chapie.
Dudas fell to 5-5-4 in goal this season and had four saves in the loss. She ends her McKendree career ranked fourth all-time with a goals-against average of 1.14, fifth with 14 career wins, and ninth with 118 career saves.
Senior midfielder
Amy Cassiday (Rochester, Ill./Rochester) also ended her career ranked in the top 10 in multiple career categories. Cassiday is tied for third all-time with 11 game-winning goals, is fifth with 36 goals, and sixth with 82 points

Tara Kennedy (Waterloo, Ill./Gibault Catholic), defenders
Sadie Delashmit (Bloomington, Ill./Bloomington) and
Allie Hayes (St. Louis, Mo./Incarnate Word Academy), forward
Chealsey Russell (Springfield, Mo./Kickapoo) and goalkeeper
Kayla Morelan (Granite City, Ill./Granite City) also finished their collegiate soccer careers on Sunday.
This group of players ended their careers with an overall collegiate record of 44-22-10 dating back to the 2010 season.
